Itinerary description
This is a short, quick loop that's only rated moderate because of the incline and decline into and out of the wetlands. It's unique in that you don't get many walks through the woods that are essentially sidewalks. This makes it a nice, accessible meandering for parents with little ones and strollers and potentially wheelchairs, though the incline and decline would require some caution for any wheeled device, lest your nature gawking turns into a runaway vehicle.
Mornings are peaceful with long shadows and the summertime leaf cover helps you easily feel immersed in nature. Urban aspects fringe the border of the park - a railroad, a paving contractor, a school, a chainlink fence - which add to the character of a hardworking neighbourhood that values peaceful escapes and weekend family gatherings here.
It's a quaint little park with a soccer field and a great picnic place with a toddler.
