Itinerary description

Initially although uphill the track was good however after about 2km the track went up the side of the mountain and was very steep until we got to a plateau about 1 hour later. After that we were amongst the vines and the track was perilously steep and we were slipping and sliding continuously downhill on scree tracks that had been churned up by the winery’s diggers. The downhill part was very slow going. The track was very hard to follow at times until we hit track 2. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you are very fit and prepared to fall over!
