Forca [3] [4] or Marincovaz [5] (in Croatian: Marinkovac) is one of the islets of the Spalmadori islands, a small Croatian archipelago located south-west of the island of Hvar, in the Adriatic Sea. Administratively it belongs to the municipality of Lesina [6], in the Split-Dalmatia region.

Geography

Forca, one of the most eastern islets of the Spalmadori group, is located opposite the port of Lesina; it has a very irregular shape and a wide bay that opens to the south-east: Santo Stefano valley [4] (Stipanska uvala); its southern tip is called Punta Rasagna [4] (Rasnik). It has an area of 0.681 km² [1], a coastal development of 6.34 km [1] and a maximum height of 47.2 m. On the island is the small village of Zdrilca which is not permanently inhabited. It is possible to land in the Ždrilica channel, on the north-west side, which separates Forca from the Borovaz and Planicovaz islands.

Adjacent islets:

Borovaz [4] [5] or Borovaz of Scirocco [7] (Borovac), islet in the north-west at about 250 m [2]; has an area of 0.168 km² [1], the coastal development is 1.88 km [1], the height is 42 m [2] 43 ° 09′40 ″ N 16 ° 24′37 ″ E.
Planicovaz [4] [7] [5] or Hilly [3] (Planikovac), is located east of Borovaz, and 180 m from Forca; has an area of 0.101 km² [1], the coastal development is 1.26 km [1], the height is 26 m 43 ° 09′41 ″ N 16 ° 24′57 ″ E.
Mlin, round rock between Borovaz and Forca, at a distance of only 40 m from the latter; it has an area of 0.011 km² [6] and the coast is 424 m [6] 43 ° 09′23 ″ N 16 ° 24′41 ″ E.
St. Jerome [4] [3] or Jeronimo [5] (Jerolim), a small island east of Forca and south of the port of Hvar, has a south-east bay (uvala Kordovan) and on the eastern side there is a light signal. Its surface is 0,207 km² [1], the coastal development is 2.37 km [1], the height is 22.4 m [2] 43 ° 09′38 ″ N 16 ° 26′01 ″ E
Gozze [4] or Goce [4] (Gališnik or Galešnik), a small roundish islet, north of San Girolamo, at the entrance to the port of Lesina, west of Punta Croce [8] (Križni Rat); has an area of 0.015 km² [1], the coastal development is of

0.45 km [1], the height is 18.3 m [2].
