Leave the accommodation and go behind the church to the road opposite and continue straight ahead, veering slightly right past the school and across 2 small bridges and towards the church spire on the hill and a small church at the junction

Veer right at the small church and follow the road past the sign indicating you are leaving Lutzmannsburg. Continue following the road

Follow the bike path to the right

At the river turn left and continue following the bike path

Turn right and cross the wooden bridge, following the Iron Curtain Trail (EuroVelo 13). After crossing the bridge turn left and continue to follow the bike path with the river on your LHS

Turn left over the bridge, and the sing indicating you are leaving Stebersdorf

Veer right and continue to follow the bike path

Veer right, following the bike path, over the small bridge

Turn right over the bridge towards Frankenau and follow bike path as it curves to the left

Veer left towards Frankenau but don’t enter the village - follow the bike path and take the next left

Turn left at the church and cemetery and continue to follow the road

After passing the religious monument, walk across the small bridge and continue straight ahead

Turn right and continue straight ahead along the country road

Turn right and then left around the green building

After turning left at the green building, continue straight ahead. Swimming in the lake is forbidden but you are allowed to walk through on the forest road. Continue straight ahead with the lake on your LHS

Continue ahead (ignoring the white patched over arrows! This is where the way-markers had a small frolic ;)

Continue ahead off the country road into the ‘overgrown forest path’. There is approx 40-50meters of overgrown path leading to the fields beyond.

Follow the overgrown path down a small gully and up to the field beyond

Come up and out of the forest into the fields. Head along the grass and dirt road towards the hunters hut and the village of Klostermarienberg

Turn left towards Klostermarienberg

Cross the bridge and continue into Klostermarienberg, passing an orchard on your RHS

Turn right. You are now back on the Iron Curtain Trail (EuroVelo 13)

Turn left uphill, passing through and out of Klostermarienberg

Continue along the bitumen road uphill and through the forest

Pass between 2 border stones and veer left

When you come out of the forest onto a wide and light coloured gravel road, turn right and continue, with pine forest on LHS. Shortly you will see Koszeg in the distance. Continue following the gravel road - you lose sight of Koszeg but continue following the gravel road.

Cross main road and continue straight ahead towards Köszeg

Turn right and pass through the Hero’s Gate, past a church on your RHS to the castle gate. Accommodation is the orange building on your RHS, Pont Vendégház
