Managed by the Council's countryside team, Holt Country Park offers diverse activities and sights to cater to all visitors. It attracts wildlife enthusiasts, dog walkers, families, schools, community groups, and those seeking a relaxing stroll through nature.
As you walk into the tranquil woodland, dominated by Scots pines and native broadleaves, it becomes clear why this park is so beloved. With the changing seasons, the park showcases beautiful floral displays, ranging from summer orchids to winter snowdrops. The rich ground flora supports an abundant array of wildlife, including goldcrests, greater spotted woodpeckers, deer, and many others.
Holt Country Park is also home to many varieties of butterflies, including the beautiful Silver-washed fritillary. This butterfly, which shares its airspace with dragonflies and damselflies, is featured in the countryside services' logo.
