Itinerary description

An early morning walk encompassing the entire length of the Southern Ridges walk. The walk starts at Harbourfront MRT and as a taster, we climb the slopes of the Marang trail, which winds up the slopes of Mount Faber, offering some lovely shaded trails, towering trees and tantalising glimpses of Keppel Harbour and waterfront. We emerge at Mount Faber carpark B, and then wind along the ridge crescent of Mount Faber, with a stroll along the cablecar terminus. Another short climb upwards to the viewpoint at Faber Point (currently under renovation), and then a short steep scamble down the slopes to Pender Road and then on to Henderson Waves pedestrian bridge. At the pinnacle, we wend our way down to Telok Blangah Green, and on to Forest Walk. Crossing over Alexandra Bridge, we enter the hidden charms of Hort Park and then join the Earth Trail (climbing upwards again) to Canopy Walk and views across Canterbury Road. We enter The shaded slopes of Kent Ridge Park and then, descend via an unofficial (defunct) trail to end at South Buona Vista Road.
