I think I've been to the village before enroute to a Hacienda Spa nearby. Isn't there also a little museum in Teuchilan and a very nice restaurant overlooking the lake? I had a carpenter hand make much of the furniture in my house and he lived there and commuted all the way to Ajijic.. Small world. My husband hasn't been there so we might take a trip next Saturday (?) if anybody wants to join us send me an email greeninmexico@gmail.com.

Also looking for maybe half day tours within driving distance of Lake Chapala. We are Senior Citizens but like to poke along and smell the roses :) Any ideas?

Thanks for a wonderful article and gorgeous graphics. https://www.wikiloc.com/walking-trails/guachi-1-tour-10805213/photo-6531019

Hi Annieg! First time I have received a message via Wikiloc!
Yes, you have the right place, only now there is, in addition, a big modern museum (Interpretive Center) at the Guachimontones themselves. Have a great time! John https://www.wikiloc.com/walking-trails/guachi-1-tour-10805213/photo-6531019

John presented an amazing program to the Lake Chapala Garden Club today and it reminded me that I had visited this site a couple years ago, really worth seeing
