Sant just i pastor
TECHNICAL SHEET: -Name: Basílica dels Sants Màrtirs Just i Pastor -Timeline: 1342-1574 -Desingner: Unklnown -Thematic description: It’s a religious building destined to the martirs Just and Pastor that they were two children who were martyred for not giving up Christianity. -Technical description: Gothic, Neoclassicism: Some of the architectural characteristics of this building are the buttresses (G5), the usual use of arches "ojivals" (G7). and it's curious because it's one of the few Gothic churches that don't use a Latin cross plant. -Research: The King Louis the Pious prompted the rebuilding of this church in 801. It was ceded by the alms of the Mir, in 985, to the cathedral with all the goods, tithes and primitives and parish rights. The church we see today began to built on February 1, 1342, and ends 232 years later.

The gothic cathedrals had the windows very big because as they discovered a stable form for the roofs and walls they could put windows, not like the Roman cathedrals that don't have windows. Reserch: The actually cathedral was built in the XIII to XV centuries on the old Romanic cathedral, built in on Visigothic catedral. In the year 599, the catedral was dedicated to santa creu but 278 years later it was dadicated to santa Eulalia.

XIV -Desingner: Bertran Riquer, Jaume del Rey and Pedro de Olivo. - Tematic description: It was built for take part of the Palau reial major, and to replace the old oratory that was in the palace. -Tecnichal description: Gòtic Català , the plant of the chapel is rectangular and it uses volta de creueria. -Research: Is over of the roman wall. This chapel was built by many architects. The last architects that retouch it were Jordi Casadevall i Alfred Pastor.
Palau Episcopal

Technical description: Gothic Neoclassic, it has some Gothic characteristics because it is not really a church or parish, but it still has the big windows, doors and columns all around the palace. Research: That the Gothic art was based on religious buildings. It has one central nau. The palace was sold in 1316 to Jaime II to extend the original royal palace. The palace has 3 stories and the shape of the building is squared with a patio on the center. In order to expand the royal palace there was a bridge made to connect the two buildings.

Temàtic description: Its a religious building Tecnic description: Gòtic Català, it has lots of different Gothic characteristics like the windows and doors, or the tall roof that is made with Volta de Creueria. It has a big rose window on the principal facade. Re-search: The principal facade is made of pure gothic, and it doesn't have a lot of decoration. On the center of the rose window you can identify two towers than can possibly be referring to the bell towers. The actual bell tower is situated on the left of the entrance. It has an altitude of 54 meters and it has shape of an octagonal prism.
