Mostnice Gorges (Slovenia).
During the holidays, we took this short walk, spectacular, the photos do not really reflect how impressive the landscape is. The walk begins on the right side of the river, ending at the end of the gorges, fording it and ascending the other slope to the starting point.
The water of the Mostnica runs between high walls that in some points reach 20 m high, while we see the different pools, pools, gorges and rocks with different shapes, such as that of the famous elephant, while we walk between trees. We will find some bridges on our walk, such as Cesenjski, built on a rock that slid and acted as a natural bridge, or Beraski, with the name and year of construction on a rock on the left side.
Simple and very easy walk, the only thing is to be careful not to look too far into the gorges, especially if you go with children.
