Itinerary description
Galway Ballyloughane beach walk
This is a nice mainly coastal walk. In order to make a circle of it I had to come back by road. However there is only about a 100 metres where you are on a main road.It is an ideal morning or afternoon walk. Note that boots are essential as there are a few wet parts especially after rain. When you get to the coast...you have a choice... stick to the shore or walk through a pitch and putt course and then some army land (not sure if you are allowed but I am doing it for 20 years and never had a problem. If you choose to stick to the coast... add about 30 minutes to walk time..challenging but not difficult. There are wonderful views of Galway bay on this walk.
