Itinerary description
Frog Hill a hidden nature gem in Penang, well known for "大马九寨沟” in mandarin, is located at Kampung Sungai Kulim, Tasek Gelugor / Guar Perahu. It used to be a tin mining site in early days, but now it just an abandoned quarry without any basic facilities.
Besides Frog Hill, this place has a few other names;
🔹Froghill Tasek Gelugor or Guar Perahu
🔹Lombong Kampung Guar Petai
Best time to visit is during sunrise and sunset. Not advice to visit here during noon, extremely hot. Bring someone with you who is good in photography.
Advisable to wear sandal instead of hiking shoe unless you don't mind getting dirty. Remember to bring umbrella and apply sun block as weather are extremely hot.

Is better to ride a motorbike to come here instead of driving unless you have 4WD as the trail is uneven dusty road and muddy. After all you will need send your vehicle for carwash. It getting worse especially raining day and your car might get stuck, so make sure it is a hot sunny day with no rain the day before.
