We have moved by boat until we reach the city of Edfu, here we take a carriage that takes us to the temple of Edfu.
This temple is dedicated to the god Horus, the god of Edfu, with these temples built the king wants to consolidate relations with the Egyptians. It is the second largest temple in Egypt, after Karnak, it is also one of the best preserved in the country. Its length is 137 meters and a height of 36 meters.
When we finish the visit we return to take the carriage that the boat takes us, we continue the journey through the Nile, until we reach the town of Kom Ombo, where we will see its temple.
When we docked we went to the Kom Ombo temple on foot, as it was close. The northern half of the temple is dedicated to Horus, god of the sky, hunting and war, while the southern part worships Sobek, god of the waters and creator of the Nile River. It is in a fairly good state of conservation. Uneven, another curiosity is the crocodile museum building annexed to the temple, where the crocodile mummies are found.
