Itinerary description
A U-shaped walk, starting from the East Coast Park. First stop is the newly completed Keppel Marina East Desalination plant, with it's vaguely futuristic circular shape, cascading water features and the rooftop panorama. Then next stop is Gardens by the Bay East, before we turn northwards to Tanjong Rhu. Staying on the eastern bank, we head up Geyland River following the Geyland Park Connector, which is surprisingly green, cool and luxuriantly clothed in sheltering trees. Once past Dakota MRT station, the landscape changes to a much more urban one, and culminates in the interesting (but exposed) Geylang streetscape. We end at PLQ mall, with easy access to Paya Lebar MRT.

This is one of the loveliest tree shaded parts, completely unexpected, as you transition from Kallang Bay to the Geylang river.
