The best time is spring, autumn, winter ... if it is done in the summer at the earliest or last minute, because you can get charred!
Description:
Another one of New Mexico's well hidden gems. This area was used by the Spanish on the famous route known as "El Camino Real". The path runs through a dry river or rather a torrent, which makes walking heavier since the path is like walking on beach sand. But the trail is entertaining enough so that walking is not so heavy. The ending is pretty good. A little beach, in good condition at the foot of the Rio Grande. Unfortunately, the human presence is undeniable, since the amount of garbage (bottles, plastics ...) are scattered throughout the river bed and this causes the environment to become enfeebled. The path is not lost, it follows the river bed, and ends in the river. The return is made through the same site.
