One of the most amazing caves in the world, as is the experience of entering it through a huge hollow or limestone depression known as dolina, to observe the canyon that the Reka River has carved underground. The interior spectacle is so great with the curious limestone formations, the colossal vaults and the path suspended a hundred meters above the water that runs through the bottom. Unesco has included the cave in its list of World Heritage Sites. There are other caves, those of Postojna that did not give us time to see, a pity. Guided visit.
Then we went to eat in Piran and we took a walk through the old town, its name derives from the Greek pyr (fire) in references to the bonfires of the old lighthouse that was built on the coast of the city, the architecture of the city has strong Influence of the Republic of Venice, maintains its medieval layout of narrow streets and crowded houses, numerous squares and churches. The Tartini square, which proudly adorns the center of the old town, owes its name to the famous violinist Giuseppe Tartini. It is an important member of the European Network of Walled Cities.
