Itinerary description
This is a very popular walk between Carrigaline and Crosshaven south east of Cork City... From Carrigaline it is a 20km round trip… but one usually starts from one of two carparks along the way (where the first is 6km and the second 3km outside Crosshaven).
The best time to go is on a sunny day when the tide is in.
This route used to be an old railway line and still some remnants of those days remain.
The many small boats resting in the estuary make for picturesque views.
