Itinerary description
Stays close to car and facilities. Other Wikiloc tracks are available for 10-km around Buntzen Lake, or going to higher elevations. The track starts on the main beach, just north of the main parking lot.
The first segment is through a dog-off-leach area, then approximately 1 km along the east side of the lake to a lookout platform. This looks south towards the beach. The rocky shoreline below the platform is ideal for low winter sunshine.
The second segment goes from the beach to the west and southwest to a floating bridge, initially following the Energy Trail, then returning to the parking lot via a circular track through the forest.
