Itinerary description
Walk from the Lake/Cook County border to CTA end of the line at Linden St in Wilmette. Mostly on the Green Bay Trail. The first 2.5 miles are the prettiest- the rest is mostly on the well tended trail next to the train tracks and then through residential Wilmette streets to Linden CTA stop. This is not necessarily the most beautiful walk But I wanted to show one of the many walks available in the area that are accessible by public transportation. This is just a suggestion- there is nothing special about accessing at Braeside over any of the other stations along the uprr northline.
