Itinerary description
Took the whole family for an afternoon stroll at the bird refuge. Path is wide and level, and would probably be accessible for a jogging stroller. There is a viewing blind to sit behind while watching the birds, and there are a couple of benches along the path. We didn't see a lot of birds; it would probably be better during the evening hours. From Montpelier, this trip took us about 1.5 hours, including the drive, and lots of time to look at birds and let the kids play. This is a great trail for beginners just starting to explore the outdoors, and those trying to be more active.
