Visit the curious and very crowded Batuk Caves (also known as Batu, because of the nearby river with the same name).
They are a short distance from Kuala Lumpur (just 13 to 14 km) and well served by public transport.
They are interesting both for the natural caves that are at the top and which are full of curious Hindu temples, as for the attractions that are at the bottom of these. There is a staircase that connects the two sectors. There is a large golden statue at the foot of this one of a very considerable height.
They are a place of pilgrimage (in the broadest sense of the word) for Malays and especially the inhabitants of the capital. The monkeys are also devoted to these temples as they roam freely everywhere.
