Waypoints
Linda’s Bar and Grill
A Chapel Hill staple since 1976. If you're hungry, you have to try the loaded cheese fries with their house made ranch. Otherwise, they have an assortment of unique cocktails and a constantly rotating tap selection. The atmosphere can range from a quiet dinner to a rowdy game night, but the service is always excellent!
Good Fellows
An easygoing spot on Franklin Street with a large variety of beers and specialty cocktails, as well as regular trivia nights, karaoke, and DJs. Relatively small but a fun atmosphere with good prices and great staff.
Carolina Coffee Shop
One of the oldest restaurants/bars in Chapel Hill. Established in 1922, this cozy spot serves food all day, and is a popular place to grab drinks before UNC sporting events. A great atmosphere, and a fun stop in downtown Chapel Hill!
Sup dogs
One of the iconic bars of Chapel Hill, Sup Dogs has incredible burgers, hot dogs, and fries, but also a wide variety of drinks and specialty cocktails. I would personally recommend the Bacon Cheese Fry Burger with Sup Dog sauce and house made ranch, or if you're looking for drinks, the Sup Crush can't be beaten!
He’s Not Here
No Chapel Hill bar crawl could be complete without a stop at He's Not Here, which is why it's the finishing spot of our tour. This storied college bar serves the iconic Blue Cup, which is a large cup that holds 32 ounces (as opposed to the traditional 12 ounce can/bottle). You can typically get a Blue Cup for $7-$8. The bar features a cozy inside area, as well as an expansive outdoor area with ample seating. With several incredible beers on tap, this local business founded in 1972 is a must stop.
