Itinerary description
This is a short walk that is accessible from Waverton station. Balls Head forms part of a path that extends around the harbour. It is easy to extend this walk and continue on towards the Sydney Harbour Bridge, also to start at Wolstonecraft station and visit Berry Point first.
The unique aspect of Balls Head is that it offers over 180 degree views around the harbour and provides a view of the Sydney CBD, Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Balmain etc. in a way that allows you to put it all into context.
There is also the old coal loader that was still operating in the 90's. Currently this is being redeveloped into something - exactly what will become clear in time! The coal loader area also has a cafe, and there are lots of cafes around the station.
