In the land of landslides and chip shops.

We were in Uttarakhand to do the Nandi Kund trek.
To acclimatize to the altitude and live, feel the country, we wanted to start with 3 Hindu pilgrimage sites. Nandikund Lake is also a sacred place.
The road to access the various sites is constantly cut by landslides and you can find these little "chip shops" absolutely everywhere.

We stayed in Chopta to go up to Tungnath and Chandrashila.
In Chopta and its various accommodations under tents, we took advantage of the afternoon to take a short walk that was already very beautiful.
During the day the weather is very good, but at 2600m the nights are cold. Chopta's tents are well equipped with a large comfortable bed, electricity, clean English toilets and cold running water. No showers, but that's a rare commodity in the area.
