Itinerary description
Short walk in Shinjuku gyoen
Entrance is 200 yen / adult. Most of the colored trees are clustered shortly after the entrance where hordes of photographers gather. It was impossible to take a picture of us three with the tripod without someone else in the frame. The momiji were at their prime, burning with red and taller trees were all yellow. There was also some green and all contrasted beautifully with the cloudless sky.
Further south the lawn is accessible to the public and here too it was completely yellowed by the sun. Louis also slept most of the time, he almost stole somebody's pair of glasses while they were lying on the lawn.
