Itinerary description
Start: Square St. Peters Church at main entrance End: In the pub
NB: I started the route a little bit earlier on the top of the Basteja Hill in order to include the Monument of Freedom
This is the walk was made with the free Tours in Riga. Toms Broduž was our guide. If you like stories more then the particular details of the buildings, this is your tour. Tom is an actor and will give you a good impression of Riga's culture and history. In fact he makes you a part of it with a lot of sense of humor.
The tour is free. This means that you are free to give a tip to the guide (5 to 10EU/p is ok). The distance is appr. 2.5km and easy. Be aware that Riga is difficult for wheelers, due to the many cobblestones.
The best thing is to redo the walk and then go inside the churches, musea etc for learning more about this beautiful city.
