Itinerary description
English: First of all, this is an adventure only to be done with the proper Via Ferrata gear and cannot be completed or even attempted without it.
The route starts at the Konitsa Bridge with a 45 minute walk along an easy path on the south side of the river towards the Monastery. The beginning of the Via Ferrata is marked with a red and black diamond veering off the path to the left after approximately 45mins walk (you do not make it all the way to the Monastery, and dont know how long it would take to make that extra hike). You will know you have taken the correct path as you will be met with a warning sign stating the kit you require. Following this you will do a short 5/10min walk through the forest down towards the river and then you will see exactly where you begin with the first obstacle! :)
We will not give too much away but will say, the trail is very well marked the entire way with red/black signs and paint. This said, there was one part where the paint stopped towards the end, but just follow your instinct along the river and follow the weird cement tunnel and you'll eventually be met with another red dot. Can't really go too wrong.
It took us 5.5hrs including the walk to the beginning, a lunch break and many photo stops.
This is a full adventure day, many sections that will raise your heart using the via ferrata kit, interspersed with cool winding treking in the forest, finishing under the old konitsa bridge.
Would recommend that this route is done east to west as opposed to being tempted to start from under the bridge due to how the via ferrata flows
