Itinerary description
Short but airy, D-rated ferrata ending at about 2000 m ATSL. Excellent views of Hochschwab, Eisenerzen Alpen and Dachstein at the distance. Secured trail makes only a small part of the entire route (right side of the final loop). In the last quarter of the ferrata you'll find a photogenic rope bridge (can be circumvented by an alternative branch). Secured trail ends about 20 minutes bellow the summit of Kaiserschild (2084 m). Access to ferrata (2 h) is in challenging alpine terrain. We descended by the same route and it was not so bad as we feared. Total time: at least 6 hours. In case you've got more time to spend, consider taking the less steep alternative route for descent.
