Second stage of the journey carried out in the Julian Alps in Slovenia, in the Triglav National Park.
The journey runs along the main ridge of the national park, from west to east, starting the route at the border between Slovenia, Italy and Austria, ending at the beautiful Lake Bohinj, located in a highly visited glacial valley, ideal for water activities. and, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful in Slovenia.
The complete journey lasted 5 days to cover 80 km and achieve a positive accumulated elevation gain of approximately 6,600 meters. On the journey we will have the possibility of ascending to the peaks of Mala Mojstrovka (via ferrata), Prisank (via ferrata), Bovski Gamsovec (normal route), Triglav (via ferrata), and Kanjavec (normal route).
In this second stage we will have the possibility of ascending to the summit of Prisank via its via ferrata. It is a K2-K3 level via ferrata, long, excellently equipped, quite vertical (especially in the first section, where the patio is considerable). Not all of the route is ferrata, since in various sections (especially in the lower part and the access channel to Okno Prednje) we will advance along relatively comfortable paths.
Those who want to avoid the via ferrata have the possibility of using one of the marked trails that, starting from the port of Vrisc, ascends to the natural window of Prednje, where we will connect with the track.

To get closer to the beginning of the journey you can fly to the Ljubljana airport, where by bus or taxi, we can go to the bus station, and from there take the bus currently managed by the company Arriva that will take us on a Approximate 2-hour trip to the town of Ratece, very close to the border with Italy.
INFORMATION ABOUT STAGE NUMBER 2
From the Vrsic mountain refuge the marked path starts at the beginning of the via ferrata.
As soon as we start the route, we have a “complicated” step, especially because of the exhibition. It is short, and immediately gives way to a path that has privileged views of the rock formation of Ajdovska Deklica (the pagan girl).
Quickly, the path gives way to the via ferrata, which will have relative continuity until the natural eye of Prednje. This section, including the natural window, turns out to be the most spectacular of the entire route, enjoying how well the via ferratas are equipped in Slovenia, and advancing safely (even so, we will find some unequipped sections, but they have good rock and grips).
The natural exit of Prednje is wonderful, with the full arc of the eye and the Kranjska Gora valley in the background.
Although we might think that once we have passed the eye of Prednje the summit is close, there will still be a good stretch of ridge to the top of Prisank (small conditioned sections will continue to help us in the ascent).
With an extraordinary time at the top of Prisank, and enjoying what we had done so far and contemplating the nearby and attractive summit of Razor, we took a well-deserved rest, to later undertake a steep and rocky descent along one of the trails that descends to the port by Vrisc.
At an altitude of 1700 meters we will connect with the path that from Vrisc goes to the Sedlo Pranja pass, where the path that ascends to the top of Razor begins (despite being a beautiful mountain, the storm has forced us to give up its ascent ).
From the Sedlo Pranja pass, there is a quick and obvious descent to the Pogacnik mountain refuge, with a splendid panoramic view of the Trenta glacial valley.
