Toscana/Alpi Apuane: ferrata del Procinto (VIDEO)

Percorso: partenza da Stazzema (LU), si prende il sentiero CAI n.6 e poi il 5, con vista sul monte Procinto. Si giunge ad una fonte, e poco dopo si gira a sinistra, continuando verso la ferrata, sotto la parete del monte Nona. Si supera la foce del Procinto tramite un ponticello in legno, e si inizia la ferrata del Procinto fino alla vetta (1.173 m), percorsa anche in discesa. Dopo si passa sotto il ponticello, e con una ripidissima discesa si raggiunge Fonte Moscoso. Da li si potrebbe raggiungere il Monte Forato e la ferrata Salvatori, ma la nebbia non lo ha consentito. Rientro al parcheggio ad anello
Distanza: 10,2 km (anello). Dislivello: 800 m, da 520 m a 1.173 m
Livello: Sentiero EEA. La ferrata non è difficile, anche per la presenza di numerosi supporti. Ma percorsa in inverno è molto scivolosa, quindi da prestare massima attenzione in particolare in discesa, compreso il tratto di sentiero sotto il ponticello
Equipaggiamento: casco, guanti da arrampicata, scarponi con climbing zone, kit ferrata

Itinerary: departure from Stazzema (LU), take the CAI path no. 6 and then no. 5, with a view of Mount Procinto. You reach a spring, and shortly after you turn left, continuing towards the via ferrata, under the face of Mount Nona. Cross the mouth of the Procinto via a small wooden bridge, and start the Procinto via ferrata up to the summit (1,173 m), also covered downhill. Then you pass under the bridge, and with a very steep descent you reach Fonte Moscoso. From there you could reach Monte Forato and the Salvatori via ferrata, but the fog didn't allow it. Return to the ring parking
