Te uns quants llits i sembla ben cuidat.
Advertència: Activitat molt llarga i sense ombra

7:30 We are in the cable car parking to get to the Zugspitze, we go stand in line but the first gondola leaves at 8:00.
8:15 We arrive at the top station. We leave the station down a metal ladder that leads to the top of the Zugspitze. We pass the summit and start walking in an easterly direction. There are some small groups that are going to do the same route. A good part of the route is just walking on the ridge using your hands from time to time, but we keep finding sections where it is necessary to scramble, rappel or go up a short via ferrata.
12:48 We pass a small free shelter in the middle of the ridge. It has several beds and seems well maintained.
15:45 We still have to descend some meters before reaching the pass of Griesskarscharte and go up the last summit (Alpspitze). The cable car closes at 17:00, so we determine that even if running we won't make it in time. We decide take it easy and save energy.
17:34 We reach the top of the Alpspitze, and after a quick celebration we begin the descent to Garmisch.
19:15 After a good descent we reach the upper station of the Alpspitze, but as it is closed we rest a bit and continue down.
21:45 We arrive at the parking lot of the lower station of the Alpspitze
Warning: the activity is very long and there is no shade
Logistics: This route starts and ends in different places but there are many options to solve it. The two points have large car parks next to the corresponding cable car and train station that connects them with each other and with Garmisch. What I would recommend is to leave the car in the Alpspitze car park and take the train to the zugspitze cable car. That way if it's too late we don't depend on trains or cable cars for the return.
Gear: It's important to bring a short rope to do a couple of rappels and the ferrata kit for the hard bits of the route (even if you see some runners overtaking you without any gear). It is exposed and there are groups that go all the route roped up, so keep that in mind.
