First stage of the journey carried out in the Julian Alps in Slovenia, in the Triglav National Park.
The journey runs along the main ridge of the national park, from west to east, starting the route at the border between Slovenia, Italy and Austria, ending at the beautiful Lake Bohinj, located in a highly visited glacial valley, ideal for water activities. and, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful in Slovenia.
The complete journey lasted 5 days to cover 80 km and achieve a positive accumulated elevation gain of approximately 6,600 meters. On the journey we will have the possibility of ascending to the peaks of Mala Mojstrovka (via ferrata), Prisank (via ferrata), Bovski Gamsovec (normal route), Triglav (via ferrata), and Kanjavec (normal route).
In this first stage we will have the possibility of ascending to the summit of Mala Mojstrovka via its via ferrata. It is a K2-K3 level via ferrata, not excessively long, excellently equipped, but quite vertical and with some exposure.
Those who want to avoid the via ferrata have the possibility of descending from the Prelaz pass directly to the Vrisc port.

To get closer to the beginning of the journey you can fly to the Ljubljana airport, where by bus or taxi, we can go to the bus station, and from there take the bus currently managed by the company Arriva that will take us on a Approximate 2-hour trip to the town of Ratece, very close to the border with Italy.
INFORMATION ABOUT STAGE NUMBER 1
From the town of Ratece begins the marked path to the Planica/Ratece ski jumping center, a ski center that can be accessed by vehicle (regulated parking).
From the parking lot the beautiful path begins that heads along the bottom of the valley to the Tamar refuge, where an impressive panoramic view of the vertical limestone walls of the Jalovec peak will await us.
From this refuge we will have the possibility of ascending to the Slatnica pass. Of the 2 options we have, we have opted for the one that goes into the valley, with the aim of going in the shade (August, full heat wave) and having a better panoramic view of the entire circus dominated by the Jalovec mass.
From the Slatnica pass we can ascend to the nearby panoramic summit of Slemenova Spica (very popular). From the top, we will descend until connecting with the path that comes from the Tamar refuge to the Prelaz pass (a shorter alternative to reach this pass or approach the Mala Mojstrovka via ferrata can be to go back to the Slatnica pass and take the path ascends that flanks the peak of Mala Mojstrovka).
Once at the pass, you have the option of descending directly to the Vrisc port or crowning Mala Mojstrovka via its via ferrata.
From the top the descent is very steep. Initially through broken terrain, where it is difficult to follow the path; and later, once we change slope at a hill with cable handrails, follow an obvious path to the port of Vrisc.
At this pass a wide forest track begins to the Vrisc refuge.
Of note in this first stage are the superb views obtained from the top of Mala Mojstrovka (360-degree panoramic views, which will allow us from the first day to visualize the entire mountain range that we will have to cross in the 5 days of the journey).
