Itinerary description

Awesome via Ferrata. However, a few things to note:

    1. Approach:
You can drive to the lower cabin at the beginning of the trail. It's nice because you don't have to walk so far through the sun.
The entrance to the Offroad Trail is easy, but it gets very challenging.
You will need a high clearance 4x4, low range and at least a rear locker to get there. You have to be an experienced 4x4 driver. Spotter with radio is advised, otherwise sharp rocks make a puncture very likely. We did it with a modified Hilux on AT tires.

    2. The hike itself: the sign on the bottom says 1.5 hours from the bottom cabin (approx. 900m) to the middle cabin (1230m). This may be true if you opt for the bypass of the via Ferrata. If you choose to go the "official" climbing route, it's very challenging. Plan at least 3.5 hours to the middle cabin.

    3. You need to perform on a high cardio level for several hours.
No water, no services along the route. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen, the wall is mainly facing south.

    4. The trail is quite technical, sometimes there are no irons on the wall to climb, you have to know how to do rock climbing.

    5. Start early in the day - it's easily an 8 hour tour.

    6. We turned around at the middle cabin because it was already 6pm - you do not have to climb back down, there is always a secured bypass (steep through the forest, but no climbing required)
    Look for the signs.
The paths are not marked on any map.

    7. The views are amazing. There are hardly any people on the trail.
