Duration real with breaks : 09h25

Attendance ascent/summit/descent :
Comment : I saw it was a via ferrata on the swiss map so I came prepared with all the gear for it I started the ascent and then I saw people in sneakers, shorts, no helmets no nothing so I kept the helmet but didn't secure myself, I recommend you do but don't be surprised if most people don't it's more like a very vertical T4 than a via ferrata. Expect heavy use of hands, you don't want to go there with shoulder problems, short people or kids will be in trouble as you need long limbs to reach certain hooks. It's actually a very good beginner via ferrata as most of the effort is on legs not arms and almost never have the void under you, always a trail (not a wide one...you still can't fall or slip but it's better than air) at the Sunnighorn I found I had enough energy left so extended to Mattestand for which I had no info nor pictures...I would have ascended even without a trail..but turns out there was one (on the eastside of the farm) you totally don't need to ascend vertically like I did..Mattestand turned out to be a good surprise it had a bench a beautiful view and a nice trail down, the descent back to wimmis I chose to be soft along a mountain road, until Simmewald that is, then it's a steep T3 dirt, rocks, roots trail.
One more thing..if the Simmewald descent is closed for woodwork...don't go there, in most places it's okay to go outside of work hours...not here...not okay at all ! the trail was destroyed..annihilated...non existant anymore covered by several 20m trees (at the small triangle bump on my map which you must not follow) and I ended up descending a very angled slope basically on my butt cheeks as it was too vertical to stand.
Without that problem I would totally recommend this prolonged Sunnighorn climb it was great with a bit of everything.
