Itinerary description

To all our readers,
This is the 1st time we've interrupted your reading recently, so we'll get straight to the point: This Tuesday we ask you to protect Wikipedia's independence. 98% of our readers don't give; they simply look the other way. If you are one of our rare donors, you have our gratitude, and we warmly thank you.

If everyone reading this donated $2.75, we could keep Wikipedia thriving for years. The price of a cup of coffee is all we need. We're sure you are busy and we don't mean to interrupt you, but we must remind everyone.

We don’t charge a subscription fee, and Wikipedia is sustained by the donations of only 2% of our readers. Without reader contributions, big or small, we couldn’t run Wikipedia the way we do.

We know most people will ignore this message, but we hope you will consider supporting Wikipedia today. We want to make sure everyone on the planet has equal access to knowledge, and we need your help.

If Wikipedia provided you $2.75 worth of knowledge this year, please take a minute to secure its future by making a donation. Thank you.

Please select an amount (USD). The average donation is $16.36, but every donor gives the right amount for them. We are 100% transparent about where your money goes, and we publish reports annually for everyone to read. Thank you for standing up for free, open information today.

Sources: Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport[1]
It is the largest hub for American Airlines, which is headquartered near the airport. It is the third-busiest airport in the world by aircraft movements and the fourth-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic in 2020.[3] It is the ninth-busiest international gateway in the United States and the second-busiest international gateway in Texas.[4][5] American Airlines at DFW is the second-largest single airline hub in the world and the United States, behind Delta's hub at Atlanta.[6] The airport was also a hub for Delta Air Lines until 2005.

Located roughly halfway between the major cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, DFW spills across portions of Dallas and Tarrant counties, and includes portions of the cities of Irving, Euless, Grapevine and Coppell.[7] At 17,207 acres (6,963 hectares; 27 square miles), DFW is larger than the island of Manhattan, and is the second-largest airport by land area in the United States, after Denver International Airport.[8] It has its own post office ZIP Code, 75261, and United States Postal Service city designation ("DFW Airport, TX"), as well as its own police, fire protection, and emergency medical services.[9]

As of November 2021, DFW Airport has service to 260 destinations from 26 scheduled airlines.[10] In surpassing 200 destinations, DFW joined a small group of airports worldwide with that distinction.[11
