A classic Oregon hike to the most beautiful meadows next to Mount Jefferson. It is a long and strenuous day hike but it would make a fantastic backpacking trek.
Spring route. Trail till all snow, then off-trail up to the ridge. Take the ridge to Bear Point, then off-trail to Quitters Point, continue along the ridge, then straight down thrash back to the trailhead...and beer.
It is not often that you can visit Jefferson Park in the middle of winter!
