Chawton Started walk by Jane Austen's house. Free car park (located behind the pub car park) Quite a few pot holes along the way but enjoyable walk. Mainly across fields so best mid summer, after a dry spell.
Circular route from Alton Sports Centre past Jane Austen’s house through to Farringdon Church and back over Windmill Hill.
Up and down through Chawton Woods from the bus stop by the Sports Centre. The Watercress line is close by as you go up the hill an returns through wider tracks through the Forestry Commission land and Chawton Park Farm.
