    월봉산은 높이 1,279m로 덕유산국립공원의 남쪽에 있는 산이다. 북쪽능선을 따라 남령(藍嶺)을 지나 덕유산(1,614m)에 이르고, 남쪽으로는 큰목재·은신치(隱身峙)를 지나 거망산(擧網山, 1,184m)에 이른다.
