    The road up until entering West-Kasai is utter shite. It becomes slightly better after that, but is still far from flawless. I was there right after the end of the rainy season and there was Chinese sponsored maintenance...

    The N1 is still dusty east of Tshikapa, I thought it couldn't be much worse so I left it as quickly as possible. I was wrong. The road turns difficult, it might be fun for people who really enjoy sand, which I don't.
