Hiking the mountain starting from Stöðvarfjörður, giving you a rewarding view over the French fjord. One small steep section that is very doable. Loads of waterfalls on the way.
Beginner mistakes by crossing over early towards the arc. Instead follow the river longer on the way up. Walking across the loose stones on Alftafell is not safe. We made it with 3 kids but a long trip for the 7yo.
