Itinerary description

This trail starts at the car park at Pokljuka (Rudno Polje) and makes its way up to the lookout Visevnik. From here the trail traverses along the low level path and passes Refuges Vodnikov Dom (1817m) and Dom Planika (2401m). The trail then makes a direct path to the summit.

For the descent the trail passes Refuge Kredarici (2515m) on the North of the mountain. The route finishes on the trail in the direction of Refuge Kovinarska Koca at the parking lot at the beginning of the road.

The last 400m to the summit has chains and pins. Harnesses and helmets are not mandatory. The summit ridge is busy, so allow time for traffic. There is no public transport to and from the start and/or finish, so arrange your own transport. The only water points are at the Refuges.

This trail can be completed in a day during summer with maximum daylight hours.
