Itinerary description

Beautiful walk or run trail in Southern Crete. After having left Paleochora you take the paved road up to Anidri, a little village about 200 m above the Libyan sea. The village's centre is the Kafenion which has been a school in former days - very nice dishes! Pass the church and walk or run down the gorge to the beach. From there it is a dusty, unpaved road back to Paleochora.
Best time to do this is in the morning or in the evening - otherwise it may get pretty hot since there is hardly any shadow at noon. Morning might be even better - in the evening there is some dusty traffic of tourists returning from the beach.
