Itinerary description
Start am Skistadion in Garmisch, entlang der Pachtnach zur Pachtnachalm, über Bockhütte, Reintalangerhütte und Knorrhütte zum Zugspitzplatt. Dann über das Geröllfeld entlang der Felsen hoch zur Zugspitze. Bis zur Reintalangerhütte vorwiegend im Schatten entlang der Partnach. Dann wird’s steil und hört im Prinzip erst auf dem Gipfel wieder auf und alles schön in der prallen Sonne.
Start at the ski stadium in Garmisch, along the Partnach to the Pachtnachalm, via Bockhütte, Reintalangerhütte and Knorrhütte up to the Zugspitzplatt. Then over the scree field along the rocks up to the Top of Germany. The way from Start to the Reintalangerhütte (approx. 15 km) is predominantly in the shadow and a wonderful way (mostly single trail) along the Partnach. Then it gets steep and technical to the Knorrhütte. From Knorrhütte to the Zugspitzplatt it is possible to run shorter parts. From the Zugspitzplatt to the summit you have to pass a short but steep scree until you reach the scarp which leads you to the summit via steel cables along the rocks.

Start from Skistadium Garmisch via Pachtnachalm, Bockhütte and Reintalangerhütte through the Reintal is predominantly in the shadow and along the steel blue Pachtnach. At the flats it is always possible to get some fresh water and if necessary you can also sleep there and go furthe on the next day.
