Itinerary description

If hiked this route should be broken down in two or 3 parts.

Very pretty steep-ish narrow single trail around the Falls of Glomach

Poor quality of pictures to the side as lens became humid on prior day.

This is quite remote so food-logistics need to be planned.

The route starts from Kinloch Hourn with a continuous ascent on double tracks. It then progresses on trackless territory up to the Sgurr Na Forcan pass (around 600-700 meters above sea level). Very good views and windy. From there it follows the Coire Caol stream down which is later crossed and followed leaving the stream to your right.

There you get to a sea Loch and will progress trough asphalted road up until roughly the Kintail outdoor centre. From there you have a very well maintained single track trail that will take you to the Falls of Glomach (stay away from edge and on trail)....then you will follow a narrow trail on steep-ish terrain overlooking the gorge down to Loch na Leitreach. You will then follow runnable double tracks up to Loch Calavie (fairly pretty and remote). You will move on a good double track around the Loch and then downstream until turning right towards Loch an Laoigh. From there there is a trackless and boggy section up until the beginning of ascent of the next hill which you will do by a barely marked single track trail. You will then be rewarded with a fun and eventually forested run down to Aschnashellach forest.
