Itinerary description
Hale and Noanet are two connected reservations. I also briefly touch on the Powisset Farm grounds. There are so many routes and paths here that it is easy to take a wrong turn. Luckily, most 'wrong' turns just bring you to another beautiful place to run.
Hale is a bit challenging to keep your path, but it also offers some of the most beautiful single tracks, over ridges, and cornering like a snake.
The terrain is sometimes rocky, sometimes roots-y, sometimes both. That makes this somewhat technical but it never lasts too long and is quite doable.
Don't forget to pay for the parking. If you insist on not paying, you can also park at Caryl Park. It's free and is the main entrance to the park. I prefer this spot because it is in the middle and I can easily plan my route as I am running it.
This half marathon brings you to most of the best places this area has to offer. I hope you enjoy.
