Just went to explore and trailrun this Brisbane City Council bushland from Prout Rd side. Had an absolute blast discovering four mountain peaks to run up and over. I believe all four peaks form the Mt Petrie hills.
Loads of MTB trails also closer to Prout Rd side if you're interested.
The fourth peak backs onto Belmont Shooting ranges where I could hear shooters firing their weapons... in my direction, lol. Good views of Brisbane City and Mt Gravatt and surrounding areas.
I really enjoyed this run. I even discovered an old hidden and tucked away pistol range at the base of the second peak. Certainly not used (much) and requires some serious 4x4 vehicles to get to it.
