Itinerary description
Very enjoyable simple run.
Fairly easy trails, often used by downhill mountainbikers.
4h 04 min net time so moving speed of 7.7 kmh.
In winter this is the Laax/Flims/Falera ski area, so you will see a fair amount of lifts.
I saw approx. 3 mountain bikers for every walker. If you listen to music when running worth using only one headset so you can hear approaching bikes. Be courteous, hop aside and let the bikes come down...
Bus 81 takes you from Chur trainstation to Flims Post and you take the same bus back to Chur from Laax Post. The GPX track is from "bus stop to bus stop".
From Flims Post follow signs for Nagens (Nagens is the end of a ski lift, at around 2100 metre altitude). You will be given a couple of mountain path choices (white red white markings).
I got distracted and I turned left when I got to the small artificial pond before Nagens, then I caught up with proper path going up a stretch of the road and sometimes through grazing areas.
Eventually you will catch a large dual track path... and see signs for Vorab. Follow the big path until you see a "wegweiser" and then turn right to go up through a stony section up to Vorab 3000 (another ski lift), from there you can either go up left a little towards Bundner Vorab or right towards Piz Grisch.
Go down the same way and follow signs for Laax, then later for Crap Sogn Gion (that's the main skiing lift).
From there follow mountain path down to Laax.
The route can be extended if you prefer to run into Falera.
