Itinerary description
Very pleasurable trail run, virtually all soft ground with maximum 5 km of asphalt.
Starts off Wohlhusen train station car park (5chf for 24hrs).
Terrain consists of some double track paths, and a quite a few single track paths on ridges with views to both sides.
There are very good views of the snowed up alps whilst running in snow free low pre-alpine terrain.
Very easy route to follow
- You first follow route 3 (or signs to Napf) southwards, until Stächelegg
- Then you follow route 65 to Trubschachen
You can buy something to drink-eat in Stächelegg mid way (at least during the weekend it was open and busy) but no other re-supply points.
Once you finish you have a 30 minute train ride back to your starting point.
The actual metres ascended according to Schweizmobil are 1525. There are a lot of tiny ups and downs that hardly register in altitude lines but you will certainly feel on your legs. It is good terrain for alternating ups and downs.
