Chalten, De los tres
After a relatively easy start with a family hike until Lago Capri -albeit the steeper part-, I picked up the pace in a marvelous trail run.
I just missed the Lago de los tres. That was partly because of family obligations, but it was also a useful lesson for anyone picking up this route: The last km takes a long time! The signs on the trail say "another hour", but the last km is steep up, down again, up again and back. Most hikers took at least one and half hour each way.
Views on mount Fitz Roy with its glacier, beautiful and unique nature setting.
