Itinerary description
This alpine track is a good option just before starting or after finishing a busy hard working day in Tirana.(30-40 minutes running or 1 hour hiking)
It starts on the old main entrance of the botanic garden, just to remind how beautiful was once this part of the garden and how it is now a days.
There are three secret entrances to the botanic garden of Tirana that you may easily find if you follow the track.
Additionally you will find just after leaving the village a 40 meters ridge to scramble (II grade).
On the way down it is shown a new path following the valley that it will join the residencial area of Kodra e Diellit and the Botanic garden. This part of the track is nowadays under construction. Hopefully the work will be finished soon.

We did this trail today. Thanks to fantastic weather, we had great views across Tirana, Dajti Mountain and the other summits to the east of Tirana. The 40 Meter scramble is a nice interlude. Today, harvesting of olives was in full swing. Due to much construction going on on this side of Tirana, the roads and paths seem to change rapidly (not always for the better) and we would have gotten lost if we had not faithfully stuck to the GPS markers. Lets hope the botanical garden will see a revival! Certainly, this trail is a good training exercise. Best
I am happy that you enjoy the trail.
The trail is our family's playground, depending on the hour of day we start, we do it shorter or longer.
There are many possibilities on this slopes on the mountains. Last year there was one stage of the world champion of mountain running starting on the botanic garden.
