Itinerary description

Zagora - Merzouga northern route. leave tarmac at km 56. from here only off-road. from km 148 to 164 various attempts to cross wadi draa. lots of little sand dunes. lower air pressure to 0,6 if you have tire clambs and keep on riding. the crossing is only 6 or 7 km until you hit ground and piste again. don’t loose your nerves and make orientation to a landmark by sight. piste can suddenly „end“ in a dune…better don’t use electronic device and concentrate at your driving skills.
at km 172 you will find the „lost town“ which is worth a visit. imagine this landscape when there was water in the river. people told us they built some reservoir in the hills and no water since 5 years…don’t forget to inflate your tires again
